For this study <3 will be used to represent the 'thing' that is obtained when someone shares information via a social network or sharing application/website. Is it a feeling? Is it an ego boost? Is it a rise in social status? Why does someone have the need to share that they're on their way to work?

Klout is a website that measures online influence by retrieving data from a persons social networks .
