back to the drawing board

I have asked some programming experts how I could go about programming using FQL (Facebook Query Language) and I've basically been told 'do not do it' and I quote.

"FB API is, not only complex, but has an extremely badly maintained documentation. (It is the worst API I ever worked with)."

I don't want to change my idea at this point in time because I feel it's strong, however I'm going to consider programming in php and then implementing the application into Facebook.
